High quality Nichrome 80 resistance wire from Twisted Messes. Nichrome 80 resistance wire consists of 20% chromium and ~ 80% nickel. It is a low resistance cable under normal conditions. When dealing with the thinnest meters of this wire (32-46g), the resistance is much higher than one would expect. The thinner gauges (32-46g) are intended for Clapton coils, multi-strand rotation or to add a little color to your coil-art. 28g and 30g can be used for polyclonal Claptons core wires such as Alien Claptons, but thinner meters (32-46g) will not perform as well as a standard coil. Therefore, if you have never used high-end wire before, make sure you buy the right wire for your construction before you buy.
